Hello Kevin,
GNOME has a really nice bug tracking system setup on
http://bugs.gnome.org/. You can submit bugs to it on the web or via
email, by sending mail to submit@bugs.gnome.org. There are
instructions for doing this at http://bugs.gnome.org/Reporting.html.
The problem with only mailing your bug reports to the mailing
list is that they risk being unnoticed or forgotten. If everyone
could make an effort to use the bug tracking system, it would be a
better resource for developers who want to make GNOME more stable.
