there is, in recent versions anyway.

maybe this is a good time to ask my question then. when I run an xterm
from the panel, it's quite clear that it's not using the info in my
.Xdefaults file. if I run "xrdb .Xdefaults" and then run an xterm,
everything is fine.
which of the GNOME startup files should I edit to get it to read
.Xdefaults at startup? (I'm using gdm, if that makes any difference)
I have another problem with gnome-terminal too. every time I start it
up, it defaults to 79 cols x 25 rows in size (under both wmaker and e).
I'd prefer it to be the more standard 80 x 24. I can't find anything in
.gnome/Terminal that may be controlling this. is there any way I can
change it?
