This is a bug in the session manager.
However, it isn't clear what the SM should do in this case. Pop up a
dialog? Try "rsh localhost -l user whatever", in the hopes that it
might work?
I guess ideally it could prompt for your password and run sudo, but
that seems a bit system-specific and non-general.
