I don't want to start off with finger pointing or name calling. I like
gnome. I really do. I've just had too many system crashes in the last
few weeks, and I'm tired of fscking my hard drive. I can't tell WHICH
part of gnome it is, just that at random (approx. 24 hour) intervals,
the system freezes. dies. completely. I can't telnet in, I can't even
PING it. All I CAN tell is that it only happens while I'm running
gnome. so I'm going to stop running gnome. and since I've discovered
that blackbox has a dock of sorts, I'm not running enlightenment or
windowmaker anymore either.
I guess my question becomes this: I've really gotten to love my gnome
applets. I've gotten to hate esound, so I don't care about that...but I
need to find a good way to emulate certain of the applets, I'd be
appreciative . I'm looking for a replacement for gnomeicu, in
particular, and driver mount applets.
thanks.
