CDE / Gnome article

There's a comparison between CDE and Gnome over at www.32bitsonline.com
which I am now reading. Author points at a "painful" RPM install, what
with ftp sites being busy, losing files and incorrect Xclients
documentation. Also hints heavily at needing an automated setup
procedure.

However, the author also takes note that Gnome has surpasses CDE in many
ways which is splendid as Gnome has only been developed in around 1/5th
the time. He points out that Unix pros are more likely to go for the
stability in CDE, but that newbies will go straight to Gnome.

AFAICT, he suggests that given CDE's production time, Gnome will knock
'em dead in the water.
