Re: JAVA in Gnome?

There were a lot of comments about Gnome in slahdot.org today.

Some people said that one of the biggest problem with Gnome is the need to
look over all the web to be able to find the necessary external packages.

Many people recognized that one of the best quality of gnome was the support
to multiple langages. But If I am not sure there is a Jav VM in gnome,
how can I write apps in java for Gnome?

So the question is, who decides if gnome apps can be written in Java?

Moreover, that would allow the gnome-aware WWW browser to include the
applets from outside. This is sometimes absolutely necessary, in particular
to use some online Databases.
