Jordi, I agree, but we currently have no means to differentiate
between "useful" and "less useful" messages. :(

I'll work on getting my status reports to be more fine-grained (so we
can at least remove some domains like gtk+-properties and
gnome-applets-locations from final status).

For now, we expected translators to do exactly what I describe above.

I posted quite complete steps I think, but let me do it from the top
of my head (it's that easy):

#!/bin/sh
MYLANG=$1
POTBASE=locations
intltool-update -p -g $POTBASE && \
msgen -o en_compendium.po $POTBASE.pot && \
msgfmt -o tmp.$MYLANG.mo $MYLANG.po && \
msgunfmt -o tmp.$MYLANG.po tmp.$MYLANG.mo && \
msgmerge -C en_compendium.po -o $MYLANG.po tmp.$MYLANG.po $POTBASE.pot && \
rm en_compendium.po tmp.$MYLANG.mo tmp.$MYLANG.po $POTBASE.pot

Cheers,
Danilo
