Hehe, nice that someone thinks about a solution :-) BTW: I will surely read through the thread on gnome-i18n with your answers, but currently there are other main points for me (4 exams in the next time + somehow a small fight about pract. places tomorrow morning).
Make that "special char" a simple underscore ("_"), and leave comment for
translators so that they change it to middle dot.
I've been just thinking about making it the '°' or the '~' chars, but these aren't really good solutions to this :-|
Also, there should be a setting to change that char (if someone uses non-localized version).
I do always use a non-localized version, so I'll surely think about this point; a per-pref customizable setting for this char could be the best solution, not?
