Please let me help you: NO OPT OUT! 

Not only pissed, maybe illegal too (IANAL). The best, is to get
responses from people that really want, and without legal risks at
all. Active participation, not passive ("I never read licenses").

And morally, I think we should go for opt in, please do not use legal
(supposing they are worldwide) but dirty tactics. Do to others what
you want others do to you (and do not take this as religion advice,
but as social advice).
