Why didn't you just cherry-pick the relevant commits ?
And where we would end if I would do that? Take one patch, than other
because previous does not apply without some other patches. I did want
apply only patches that are required to only make it to work with gtk+ 3.
Yes, that's what I suggested. Read "man git-cherry-pick".
