Thomas/Adam:
I would recommend against putting gnopernicus in your .xinitrc file
ahead of gnome-session, since gnopernicus needs the gnome desktop to be
running to operate properly. I posted an edited
~/.gnome2/session-manual file to this list last week which should launch
gnopernicus for you whenever gnome-session is started. If you use that
startup file you can remove gnopernicus from your xinitrc file.
