Hi Chris:

I would advise against using the method you give below, for disabling
synth drivers.  It is likely to cause you problems later!

Instead of removing the binaries, you should remove or rename ONLY the
".server" files, as Thomas suggests, in $prefix/lib/bonobo/servers.
