I've attached screenshots of Glom and Online Glom showing the same record in the details view. In the Glom details view, the widgets are justified to the left so that the horizontal size of the biggest widget in the column determines the horizontal size of the column as a whole. In the Online Glom details view, the horizontal column size is determined by dividing the available horizontal space equally between all of the columns. You can see the difference clearly if you look at the Name and Comments fields. In Online Glom, these fields lineup one over the other because both the Overview and Details groups have 2 columns. In Glom, the Name field doesn't lineup with the Comments field because the horizontal size of the Artist ID field in the first column of the Overview group is smaller than the horizontal size of the Albums portal in the first column of the Details group.
