Hi, Thank you. I got the presets working. One thing-- is there
a way to set up a shortcut to change presets for the same tool?
Nothing that I know.
There is an un-used shortcut to open the presets dialogue.
Same as manually: Windows -> Dockable Dialogues -> Tool Presets
or the little left pointing arrow for the drop down dock menu and add tab.
That gives an option to choose from a list. see: screenshot The snag is all the
presets are shown, although possibilities are numbered names for your presets to
put top of the list.
That can be refined by using tags. This is a really annoying feature, looks a
great idea but..
See screenshot:
1. In the presets dock, usual selection process, ctl-click to multi-select.
2. In the little box underneath, add your tag or use existing tags, FX...Paint
etc
3. Filter the pre-sets using a tag category.
When you screw this process up, and you will.
The tags are held in your gimp profile, in the file tags.xml. Delete that.
Restart gimp and just the basic tags are restored.
