Are you suggesting that relicensing babl would somehow magically right
all wrongs? :) How?
I *think* Bill N might think that forking babl would mean that GIMP
development could switch to a "release early and often" approach to
future development. I think that's the difference between OpenOffice and
LibreOffice that he's pointed to.
People who don't make a habit of reading the babl/GEGL/GIMP git logs on
a regular basis might not realize what a huge amount of coding effort
has gone into the conversion to a geglified GIMP. It's not a matter of
incremental improvements.
