sorry, somehow i missed the attachmetns before.

Where did you get -DGETTEXT_PACKAGE="..." from? I think in the
stackoverflow answer that features it, ... is meat to be an example.

You could try, -DGETTEXT_PACKAGE="\"gimp\"" maybe; it shuld evaluate to
a C string.
