[gedit-list] gedit as typing tutor

Hi,

I am new to gtk,gnome and gedit. Presently I'm learning gtk and gnome to
develop a typing tutor application for my regional language(tamil). I
found gedit handles my native language superbly.

So is there any plugin/patch for gedit to make it as a typing tutor? If
it is not there, then kindly suggest some good resources to develop a
plugin for gedit.
