Exactly. This is one reason why I removed the panel with notification
area until we can figure it out. I suppose one idea would be to add a
separate set of GConf defaults by putting $USER in the GConf database
path. But then we may need to start adding special cases to
applications. Not sure that is a good way to go.
We may be able to provide a better and more integrated experience by
just providing our own "view" of the session daemon state anyway. For
g-p-m we'd really only need two things:
* An icon that shows the battery state
* A button for suspend
Those are easy.
For NetworkManager I'm not sure what to do...
