K, I did the 'make clean' in gnome/GConf and ran 'make install' in 
meta/gnome-desktop again, but I am still encountering the same errors with 
'index.sgml'. I also did 'make 1>/dev/null 2>2.txt' in gnome/GConf but the 
resulting 2.txt was empty! Any other suggestions for this one?
