If you can find out why the gtkdoc-mkdb is failing that would help even
more, plus you would be able to build the gtk-docs, which might come in
handy later. Try to `cd gnome/GConf && make clean && make 1>/dev/null
2>2.txt` and see what 2.txt says about why the gtkdoc-mkdb fails.
