It’s really great that you share your (design) ideas, and even more
that you propose code! I’m just trying to explain how we get there,
what changes are “planed” and what changes might “need discussions”.
I am having mixed feelings here. Sure, this makes creating games easier
and gives a familiar feeling, but with the number of GNOME games
increasing, this might result in applications that are a little, well,
bland.
I think most people don’t play all the games, so I don’t think they
would get bored with that. Even, having an UI that isn’t completely
specific and “remains something fun already known” is in my mind a
good thing.
I really like your ideas for Sudoku.
If you want to hack on this game, I think the pause togglebutton would
be interesting to develop, at least for testing but probably for
pushing on master. But well, there are also some ideas in the Bugzilla
instance…
