I think that this problem also affecting me.

Here is the bug report on LP with the image that is problematic: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/f-spot/+bug/487191

It appears that the problem is with the image processing since the image in question, when re-saved (same extension and same quality) imports just fine.

Could somebody look at this? This is really a showstopper bug for me.
