When I import directly from the camera (plug in the USB cable into the
camera, and import from the dialog that automatically pops up) I have
no problems with time stamps changing, but, when I import from a
directory (using the dialog that appears when I select Photo->Import)
the time stamps will be altered. Possibly that is the reason why some
of your timestamps are OK and some not.
I use f-spot 0.4.3.1
