How do I use RawPlusJpeg?

I have installed RawPlusJpeg 1.03 into F-Spot 0.4.1, but I can't figure out how to use it. There don't seem to be any additional menu options and it hasn't automatically detected and merged my raw/jpeg images. Does the plugin only work with new images added to the database?

Is there documentation for the plugin?
