yeah, it depends on the audience. The software is supported by the
distribution, not by the upstream developers. That's a giant
difference.

The 3.36.5 had been released on 2020-08-07. It's almost two years of
development and bug fixes (and new bugs, eeks). Not only in the
Evolution itself, but also in all its dependencies.

For what it's worth, since that 3.36.5 release the src/ directory
received 462 commits in the Evolution (3.44.x, the current stable
series) as of writing this message. The evolution-data-server only 283
and evolution-ews 71. It's only the commit count, what they
did/fixed/broke is another question. The dependencies like glib, gtk3,
WebKitGTK and so on surely many more.
