Hi,
which Evolution version is this about?
Which mail account type is this about? (IMAP, POP, ...)
The latest presumably as it came straight from the repos

I was pleased evolution installed without hitch but I am a bit unsure

Expunge. I want to automatically delete messages over 24 months. Went

What is an "All Mail folder"? Is that something you created and you
move Inbox messages there via a filter rule?
I assume you aren't familiar with Gmail. All mail goes into the 'All Mail'
folder... even Sent mail (although a copy is put in the Sent folder). The
google way of doing things. There is an Inbox and one can archive to All Mail
but as you suggest I put in a filter (on gmail UI settings) to bypass it...
just avoids having to manually archive mail.
