The change was a change of composer that was necessitated by the death
of some backend toolkit (sorry, can't remember which one ...)

3.18.x is also "old" and no longer a supported version - the current
ones are 3.22 and 3.24 - so it is unlikely that any changes will make
it into the version you are talking about unless your distro backports
them.
