        Hi,
it looks like the message download from the server failed in some way
and left partly downloaded message on the disk, which makes evolution
happy and uses it as a copy of the message and displays it to you. It
could happen sometimes, and the decrease of the concurrent connections
should help in this regard. the current 3.18.0 stable version (released
only yesterday) may cope with such situations much better, at least in
case of the concurrent connections and  multiple download requests.

One way to download the message again is to locate it in the local
cache, delete it, then reselect in the the evolution. There is no need
to close the evolution in this case, as long as you'll choose another
message and then back the broken one. The local cache is stored in
~/.cache/evolution/mail/<account-uid>/...
in the 'folders' directory continues the folder structure and the
messages with their IDs. The cache is just a local "mirror" of the
server messages, it can be safely removed and the evolution will
redownload it when needed.
        Bye,
        Milan
