That's a message created by some application on your system try to
automatically deal with crashes. I do not know the memory handling of
that unknown other application on that unknown system.

It's an error message from Ubuntu's crash/error reporter[1], which IIRC
limits core dump size to 75% of "usable RAM".  An Evolution crash dump
can be huge and probably needs way more memory than is available without
swapping.

I'm not sure if it's possible to temporarily/selectively override that
limit (which would likely cause the system to become unresponsive due to
thrashing for some time when Evolution crashes), but as Adam Williams
suggests looking at terminal output could give some useful info too.
