Re: [Evolution] new subject-line is not a new thread Fw: Just exactly how do folders at a remote server appear in evolution?

Hi :)
It is easier to do it the right way.  The way that you describe.  My way is only for fixing the thread when someone has started using it for a new topic.

Obviously the noob does need to be told, in the way you did with your initial answer but that initial answer could have fixed the problem at the same time.  [shrugs]  It's not a big deal.  I was just trying to help the list deal with noobs.  People generally try to do the right thing but just need a little nudge to let them know how to improve.

As you can probably tell i have been on some horrendous lists that really berate new users quite badly.  Evo is not one of those.  Many apols if i gave the impression that i thought the Evo list was that bad.  It isn't.

We have all been noobs at 'new' things as we push out into taking on new challenges.  If we all stood still all the time we would get bored i'm sure.  I think this list is one of the better ones at accepting new people.
Regards from
Tom :)

Why is doing what you suggest easier than simply creating a new message
when the poster has a new topic, which is all anyone is asking for?
