[Evolution] EWS suddenly has problem "Scanning folders in 'Exchange server company.com'"

Following a power-off I lost my ability to sync email with our Microsoft
Exchange 2010. When I try to sync, I see the following message at the
bottom of my Evolution window,

"Scanning folders in 'Exchange server alabama.gov'".

This runs ad infinitum with excessive bandwidth useage.

I had this happen 7 or 8 months ago and resolved the situation by
creating a new user account and manually moving the contents of my
inbox, sent mail, drafts etc. folders to the new account manually. 
There has to be an easier way to fix this. 

I'm running openSuse 12.1, Evolution version is 3.2.3, and EWS version
is 3.2.3-2.4.1.
