I don't think Reid meant that he wanted a section entitled "Hidden
Settings", what he meant was that in the documentation there is no
mention anywhere of something like "to change this setting you need to
use the gsettings command" or "yes you can set this parameter, but not
within Evolution".

So if we go back to Patrick's original question: how do you set the
automatic mark as read time?  Where in the documentation would you find
that?  I've looked, but can't see it mentioned anywhere.  (I would
search, but Google won't let me search that site.)
