        Hi,
the above had been fixed as part of [1]. Change in gtk+ css color
coding/reading made colors read incorrectly in evolution. If you change
color definition in GConf's key:
   /apps/evolution/mail/display/citation_colour
to something like
   #737373
, then the citation color should be gray again.
Similar applies to
   /apps/evolution/mail/composer/spell_color
where fits
   #FF0000
