However, I cannot create any new accounts with this type. This is not an option when I create new accounts.I have gotten to the same stage on Ubuntu 7.10, i.e. the account type 'MAPI Exchange' does not appear in the account types.
Looks like the provider is not loaded. If the provider is built for 2.12, it is not compatible with 2.22 ( ABI changes).
I recently got a new work PC which I have yet to get around to start using, and I'll try to set up the plugin on Ubuntu 8.04, like you, and see how I go. Are you using version 0.8 or 0.7? The package maintainer said that I may have more luck with 0.8.
The current mapi provider is written against libmapi 0.7 (lastest release). The provider won't compile against 0.8 as the APIs have changed. So the current combination is libmapi 0.7 + Samba 4 GIT 41309dc + http://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/evolution-data-server/branches/EXCHANGE_MAPI_BRANCH/ + ïhttp://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/evolution/branches/EXCHANGE_MAPI_BRANCH/ -- Johnny Jacob jjohnny novell com http://johnnyjacob.org GPG fingerprint = E296 D0B9 77D9 D968 5574 DB0D 5FD0 B7CA 03DC E845
