Recently, I started noticing that if I leave my computer for a few

If I leave Evo closed and simply launch it when mail-notify tells me
there

running
throughout the day that it locks up. I'm using Ubuntu 8.4.1, with Evo
version 2.22.3.1 from Ubuntu's repositories. Any ideas on how I can
trouble-shoot this?

Not a solution, but I am seeing this same behavior with Evolution
2.22.1 on openSUSE 11.0.

      Hi,
if you've installed debug info packages then attach gdb to the running
evolution/evolution-data-server/evolution-exchange process and file a
bug containing result of the "thread apply all bt" command from gdb at
http://bugzilla.gnome.org and some developer will look for the cause of
the issue.

Maybe related to the recently committed fix from
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=546444
but maybe not, it really depends on the back trace.

Thank you for trying, but in the end, it was easier to just install
Thunderbird and the Lightning extension. This was the 3rd serious issue I
had in 4 months of trying out Evolution for the first time. Many great
features in Evo, and I really wanted it to work because of how well it
integrates with gnome, but I had more trouble with it in 4 months than in
the previous 4 years of using Thunderbird.

I'll return to check it out periodically to see how it has improved.

Cheers!
