Yes, you can. When creating an account in Evolution, select
"Maildir-format mail directories" in the "Receiving Email" page and
select the desired maildir from your disk. :)

Hi,
Thanks for your reply! I may not have given you all the necessary
information to be able to give me an exact answer.
I have a pop3 account on a remote server. That's where I download my
letters from with a pop3 protocol. I would like to keep these downloaded
letters in my own computer in maildir format, so as the 2GB filesize limit
could not cause a problem.
Setting Evolution 1.4 for this was not a problem. How can I set version
2.2 to work like that?
