[Evolution] Repeated Evolution error message filling up .xsession-errors file

My hard drive is filling up rapidly, and the culprit is an enormous (66
GB!) file filled with the follow Evolution error message, repeated ad
infinitum:

** (evolution-2.6:19629): WARNING **: Could not form the uri for
localhost://

Two questions: first, what is the cause of these messages? Is at an
Evolution problem or some system problem? I just updated my Linux distro
to the latest Kubuntu, which may have caused a problem. Second, if this
is an Evolution problem, how do I fix it?
