[Evolution] exchange - global catalog error

Good morning,

I have evolution-exchange set up and working with exception to the
global catalog.  My domain controller has the GC on it.  When I put
the FQDN in, evolution, in a terminal, simply says:

** (evolution:11263): WARNING **: LDAP authentication failed (0x31)

Earlier, I put ldaps://servername/ in the GC box and got this:

** (evolution:11193): WARNING **: Could not connect to
ldap://ldaps://servername:3268/

I am able to open a tcp connection to the server on port 3268 succesfully.

Any ideas?
