Re: [Evolution] Question # 1

Thank you, Murray.

One problem, though: my /opt is empty. Where can I find for
"/gnome/bin/gconftool-2"

I work in KDE 3.4.2.

I just clicked un the underlined URL on the message and it came up all
right.

Now, it does note do it with the new Evolution. I am sure that this is
an error on my part. How can I re-establish the process?

I use Mozilla Firefox 1.06 as my default web-browser.

Hi Yves,

Try the following:

# Set Firefox as hander for HTTP and HTTPS URL's
/opt/gnome/bin/gconftool-2 --type=string --set /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/http/command "/usr/bin/firefox
%s"
/opt/gnome/bin/gconftool-2 --type=string --set /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/https/command "/usr/bin/firefox
%s"
# Set Evolution as hander for MAILTO URL's
/opt/gnome/bin/gconftool-2 --type=string --set /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/mailto/command
"/opt/gnome/bin/evolution %s"
#
