Problem here is that when ever I reply to a mail, I will trim some of
the quotes, however, sometimes during the trimming process, I will
accidentally select until the signature (as you see below) and once that
happens, I will get a sort of a hard-hang, whereby cpu usage is 100% for
Evo.
I have no idea why that happens. Anyone else experience this??
Yes, I would suspect a bug has already been filed about it (in gtkhtml
module) &/or already fixed since 2.0.3.
I'm using 2.0.3 right now. but it doesn't seem to have been fixed for
me.
gnome-extra/gtkhtml
Latest version installed: 1.1.10-r1
BTW. evo 2.0.2 same thing too.
One more thing.. I tried to run gdb through it but this is what I get.
$gdb evolution-2.0
(gdb) r
Starting program: /usr/bin/evolution-2.0
warning: Unable to find dynamic linker breakpoint function.
GDB will be unable to debug shared library initializers
and track explicitly loaded dynamic code.
Looks like something to do with your distro/how it packages/builds
evolution.
I see. I use Gentoo.
gdb only really works on code with debug compiled in, but that makes
the packages bloat significantly (10's of mb).
[ebuild R ] mail-client/evolution-2.0.3-r2 +crypt -debug -doc -ipv6
+kerberos +ldap +mozilla -nntp -pda +spell +ssl 0 kB
Ahah! -debug = NO Debug compiled in.
