Hi All,
I use the exchange connector to check mail on our exchange 2003 with
evolution 2.2.2 (FC-rawhide edition). It work really well. The problem
I was having was with Evolution checking junk mail. I disabled the
option in the Account Editor (Receiving options tab) to 'Check new
Messages for Junk' only to find I would have evolution crash 3-4 times
a day while using spamassassin to check for junk. I finally went
digging through the options to find in the Mail Preferences Junk Tab
that there's another option (seemingly global) to check mail for junk
which appeared to be the culpret for my problem.
Is this an global option that overides all the others? Is it meant to
be like this or is it a bug. I would have though if you had account by
account settings that there wouldn't be any need for a global option.
The reason I disable junk checking is that our sendmail that sits in
front of the exchange server checks for spam before the mail hits
exchange and hence I don't need client side filtering.
Cheers,
Pete
