Re: [Evolution] problem after renaming gnome directories

Well, uh, not surprising, you just removed all of evolution's config
too. It is stored in gconf ...

If you stop gconfd (gconftool-2 --shutdown) and then copy back the
old .gconf/apps/evolution directory to the new one, it should restore
it.

Hello,

I'm running Fedora Core 4. This was an upgrade and I wanted the same GUI look
and menus as a regular FC4 install so what I did was mv these directories
~/.gnome, ~/.gconf, ~/.gnome2, ~/.gconfd while in run level 3. I restarted int
runlevel 5 and the desktop looks like a stock FC4 desktop. The problem I'm
having is that whe I try to run evolution it brings me into the Evolution Setup
Assistant wizard. The problem is this isn't the first time I've run evoltion.
I've been using it since the 1.0 version. What do I need to do so that
evolution knows where to find my mail and settings?

Thanks for you help,

Jason
