Hi,
I have set up a mail account and wish to send outgoing mails via a TLS
secured Postfix server.
My setup for outgoing mail server in Evolution is :
Server type : SMTP
Server : myserver.com:20025
Server requires authentication : yes
Use secure connection : always
Authentication type : Digest-MD5
User name : myname myaddress com
Remember password : yes
nb : smtpd is listening for tls connections on port 20025.
When I send a mail from Evolution, on the smtp server, Postfix log says :
Dec 12 17:22:41 localhost postfix/smtpd[32521]: connect from
xx.xx.xx-xx.rev.gaoland.net[xx.xx.xx.xx]
and that's it. On the client, evolution's 'send/receive mail' dialog box
stays open forever.
I think that the TLS connection is not started.
If I send a mail with another client type (mozilla), I get on Postfix log :
Dec 12 17:22:41 localhost postfix/smtpd[32521]: connect from
xx.xx.xx-xx.rev.gaoland.net[xx.xx.xx.xx]
Dec 12 17:22:41 localhost postfix/smtpd[32521]: setting up TLS
connection from xx.xx.xx-xx.rev.gaoland.net[xx.xx.xx.xx]
[lot of low level info related to ssl and certificates...]
and message is sent.
Does anyone have a tip to help me sort this out ?
Thanks in advance,
Franck
