my.host.com:143 or whatever your IMAP port is. Of course if it is the
default (143) then you don't need to specify a port at all.

Correct, and make sure you check the SSL check box as appropriate. If
you don't have SSL leave it unchecked, if you do, make sure it is
checked.

And like JP said, you must have the most recent version, which is
6.5.3BETA2.
