It appears ok here.  We have code that checks for this and fixes it up, but it relies on the message having at least some charset set (i.e. iso-8859-1, even when it isn't).

You'd have to compare the raw headers of each message to see why one works and one doesn't.

The single quote character appears like a domino.  A cut and paste
should show you what I mean.

But, if the message is bounced from where I forward it (via a procmail
recipe), it's fine.

I'm puzzled.  Any ideas.  Evolution 1.4.6, compiled from source.
