Hello,

I have a closely RH9-compatible distro, with Gnome 2.4. I could not find
Evo2 RPMs, and I think I'll try sompiling from source again. The compile
of 2.0.1 has failed some time ago.

So I have two questions:

1. Should I go for 2.0.2 or 2.1 - or wait for 2.0.3 perhaps?

Evo 2.1 is for developers and testers only. Stick with 2.0.2.

2. Should I upgrade Gnome to 2.6 or (provided RH9 RPMs exist) 2.8 ,
before trying to compile evo2?

I like GNOME 2.6, and Evo2 works fine with it. If Evo2 works with
GNOME 2.4 and you like v2.4, stay with what you like, unless you
have a burning desire to go to v2.6. Of course, if Evo2 requires
GNOME v2.6...
