[Evolution] Which evo version to try?

Hello,

I have a closely RH9-compatible distro, with Gnome 2.4. I could not find 
Evo2 RPMs, and I think I'll try sompiling from source again. The compile 
of 2.0.1 has failed some time ago.

So I have two questions:

1. Should I go for 2.0.2 or 2.1 - or wait for 2.0.3 perhaps?
2. Should I upgrade Gnome to 2.6 or (provided RH9 RPMs exist) 2.8 , 
before trying to compile evo2?
