Re: [Evolution] mutliple downloads of single email message

Andre,

Thanks for the help. I will download 2.0 when it comes out.

I have a temp fix I conjured up from reading the bugzilla link you sent me. I simply deleted the corrupted file and Evolution recreated it. One of the posts in the bugzilla link said that they remade the file, but this was not necessary. Evolution downloaded the emails one last time (so that it could recreate the file) and then it worked fine.

Have a nice day,
Thor

I am running Evolution 1.4 on Fedora Core 2.

I have set up my email so that I leave messages on the server so that I can view them from a different location. It appears as though Evolution is continually downloading all messages from the server even if there is already a copy in my inbox. What have I done wrong? How can I fix this?

hi thor,

i assume you use pop to get your email and not imap. ;-)

this could be http://bugzilla.ximian.com/show_bug.cgi?id=48603 which is
solved in 1.5 (be aware: 1.5 is an unstable development version, wait
for 2.0 which will be out in the next three months if you don't want to
live on the edge).

checking out the following thread
http://lists.ximian.com/archives/public/evolution/2003-
December/034159.html could also be helpful.

cheers,
andre
