        I don't know about gnome, but in kde all the alarm windows are
represented by a single task icon on the task bar.  If I right click on
that task bar icon and select "Close All", they all go away.  I have
determined that this also causes them to be acknowledged in Evo, so they
don't show up again next time.

        YMMV...
