I wasn't able to get authenticated access to my LDAP server until Iswitched to 1.5 (.3 is when I switched - I think).
authenticated fine using 1.4.6-2 on debian...just make sure you select "never" for using TLS...
Stan.
Now I'm running 1.5.7 (CVS as of yesterday)...... let me check........ now it DID allow me to edit an entry, but when trying to save the changes it said the addressbook backend for that LDAP addressbook died. Another window said something about not being able to update entry "U". It allows me to try again as soon as I force-shutdown and restart - but has the same crash. On Thu, 2004-04-22 at 13:53 -0700, Chris Toshok wrote:which version of evolution? Could I be using an old evolutionperson schema or is the use of the schema deprecated?I've noticed a similar behavior. I'm sure I have all ACLs set properly, but I can add entries and delete them, but cannot edit them either.
